Adoption Option Inc. received a $27,000 Revenue Disruption Grant from the Midland Area Community Foundation to assist with revenue gaps created by the pandemic. These funds were awarded under the “Caring for Our People” focus area.

Adoption Option Inc. is incredibly grateful for the support provided to our organization by the Midland Area Community Foundation during these difficult times. One of the programs that was temporarily halted during 2020 involves our staff providing supervised visitation. Before COVID, our staff had a long history of providing supervised visitation for Midland County parents who want face to face visits with their children who are in out-of-home placement. In March of 2020, due to health concerns, those face to face visits between parents and children residing in foster care were temporarily halted.  The Revenue Disruption Grant provided the resources necessary to overcome this sudden and unexpected reduction in revenue.

Adoption Option Inc. Child Welfare Organization’s Mission is to improve the lives of the children and families we serve. To this end, we offer a variety of child welfare services including, adoption, foster care, foster home licensing, family preservation services such as parent education and supervised visitation, along with teen mentoring.

The Midland Area Community Foundation provides philanthropic leadership to strengthen our community by fostering collaboration and giving today and in the future. More information about the foundation can be found online at: midlandfoundation.org.
